you may remember that UH Freshman of the Year RB Charles Sims was ruled ineligible by Houston this year. They have a very good starter in Bryce Bell but they got a big JUCO transfer from JC via USF in 3 star (5.7) RB Mike Hayes. He was a full qualifier from JUCO but because USF in trouble with their APR he was not admitted to USF and instead signed with UH and will be immediately available. UH also got Texas A&M Division 1A Transfer DB Colton Valencia who was a 3 star out of high school. He will have to sit out this year.

It still adds up to a very tough game against Houston this year.

I'm making my first trek to Gerald Ford Stadium.

I'm looking forward to it. It will be a very good game.

I believe SMU wins that game last year if McCann's opening TD had stood. That was a bogus call.
This year is more than winnable at home.

Well, asking the man himself, he said from the moment he took off running he knew it was coming back, definitely a penalty. Asking if he'd go down knowing it's coming back, "Hell no, man...scouts are watching!"
