Bryan McCann — ribcage

Postby PonyPride » Mon Aug 09, 2010 10:47 pm

Checked in with Bryan McCann, after a missed block got him blown up while trying to call a fair catch against the Cincinnati Bengals in the NFL's Hall of Fame Game. McCann said he has a bruised sternum, and plans to play Thursday against the Oakland Raiders.

just saw this from today (yeah, I know it's from our bleacher report friends):

"Rookie Bryan McCann suffered a concussion during a punt return and also didn't finish the game, "

http://bleacherreport.com/articles/4327 ... ugust-10th

anybody has a reliable source? should this report be ignored?
thanks.

hmmm, maybe this is inaccurate. just read injury report story on Cowboys site and no mention of a concussion.

yeah, PP I thought you spoke with him. okay, just wanted to be sure this wasn't a revised medical finding due to any changes he exhibited. thanks.

So I checked in again with McCann, who reports to being sore, but nothing broken ... and no concussion. Said he plans to play Thursday against the Raiders.

sorry for the false alarm and extra bother. thanks for the follow-up.
I'm glad it's not so bad. it was kind of an ugly hit.
anyway, at least he didn't end up being cut like some of the other injured Cowboys.

not going, but watching the game with mixed loyalties.
Colt Brennan is probably playing the 2nd half (just acquired after being cut by Washington). how do I hope for Colt to play well while hoping for Bryan to make a pick???
