It was not an especially good start statistically for both players today as P Steeler E Sanders only caught one (1) pass for 5 yards ( it WAS for a first down and he was in alot of plays) and SD Charger S McNeil only rushed two (2) times for a total of -3 ( negative 3) yards.......hopefully the next preseason game for both will be more fruitful.

Sanders looked decent blocking downfield, didn't get many targets (2 I believe) despite getting good separation on a few plays because Dixon spent a lot of time running around or targeting Sanders fellow wideout and 2010 6th rounder Antonio Brown who caught 3 balls one of them on a routine crossing route he broke 68 yards for a TD. Late in the 4th Charlie Batch threw an off-balance pass to Sanders in-between 2 defenders that fell to the ground despite Sanders best efforts to get a hand on it. McNeal only played in the 4th and split time with Marcus Mason the guy he is battling for the Chargers 3rd RB spot.

He also misjudged a punt and it flew 5 yards behind him. He scrambled and recovered it but still embarrassing. He'll have more chances to prove himself but Mason and Brinkley looked much more relaxed and impressive.
