Armed Forces Bowl relocates to SMU

Renovations to TCU's football stadium will shift the 2010 Bell Helicopter Armed Forces Bowl from Fort Worth to Dallas for at least one year, a source said Monday.

The Armed Forces Bowl is expected to announce Tuesday that it will play this year's bowl game at SMU's Gerald J. Ford Stadium.

The source said the location for the 2011 bowl game has not been determined and that the game will return to Fort Worth in 2012 when stadium renovations are complete.

Kate has the same thing.
So, what are the chances of us playing a bowl game in our own stadium now if we don't win the conference??? Hmmm... Something to think about I suppose.

Some added info:

But, writes Caplan, that's all that's moving to Dallas: "The Armed Forces Bowl announced Monday in a press release that both teams will still be housed in Fort Worth and all activities surrounding the game will continue to be centered in Fort Worth."

Assuming that was additional.
