Is he still working out on his own? If so, when does his attorney anticipate the grand jury making a decision in his case?

I think, JJ said that the grand jury decision was supposed to occur around the 2nd or 3rd week of this month -- right around now. also said he was working out on his own.

Man would that be great news if he were to be cleared ( and of course innocent of charges) and enrolled and be able to play this year....for his sake and ours.

Torlan Pittman was the backup NT last year, and coming into this season was slated to start at nose. Unfortunately, allegedly, he attended a party with some friends. Afterwards, a young lady accused Pittman and (I think) another guy of taking advantage of her. Pittman and other witnesses assert the liaison was consensual.
In the video (linked above), June Jones said something that basically amounted to:
Pittman is still enrolled as a student in the university.
Per university policy, he can't represent the school until the matter is cleared.
That sounds like a bit of a "guilty until proven innocent" deal, but I can certainly understand how important it is for student-athletes to represent the university in a positive manner.
So we're all keeping out fingers crossed and are hoping he's cleared if innocent.

Henry Garza is the DA in Bell County where Torland was arraigned, he is A liberal prosecutor (which is good for Torland) for rehab and lessor sentences, but also bad since the GJ gets close to a 75% 1ndictment rate in that jurisdiction, only 1 in 4 nobilled. With an indictment, no play for SMOO. Plea bargaining and plea arranagemnts usually take another 6-12 momths to work out

The longer this plays out, the stranger the story seems to get, as I've heard several items suddenly don't hold water, not good for football, but hopefully great for Torlan.

Not sure where this info came from, but Torlan was transferred to Huntsville in Walker Co. where David Weeks is the DA.
I know a few people in Huntsville who are familiar with the people involved, and it seems there are several conflicting stories about what went on that night. For the sake of all parties involved I hope the grand jury gets to the bottom of it all as soon as possible.
