The academic casualties of Gamble and McConico have forced Crawford, Parks, and Acker into a position where they're gonna have to be real players for us. Crawford, so far, has been getting good reviews from the coaches. The coaches also really like the athleticism of Parks and Acker, but both are true freshmen and will need to be given some time and patience.

BTW, Coach Odum is a really great guy and seems like a guy who has a very bright coaching future. This staff really is an amazing collection of coaching talent. We are very lucky at SMU to have deep pockets who still care about SMU football.
