PonyFans.com is proud to announce the next edition of "PonyFans LIVE!"

The show — brought to you by every Mustang's favorite watering hole Lakewood's 1st & 10, Gameday Cloth and PonyFans.com — the oldest, largest and fastest-growing website dedicated to the SMU Mustangs and PonyFans everywhere — will resume at 6 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 25 at Lakewood's 1st & 10 (on the northeast corner of Mockingbird and Abrams in Dallas).

Joining our host — award-winning sportswriter Steve [deleted] (a.k.a. PonyPride) — for the next show will be PonyFans LIVE's special guests: former SMU cornerback RUSSELL CARTER, a 1983 All-America, a first-round pick in the 1984 NFL Draft by the New York Jets and still the all-time SMU record-holder for career interceptions (with 18), and SMU secondary coach DERRICK ODUM, who helped get Bryan McCann in a position to possibly make the Dallas Cowboys, and who has the responsibility of getting the SMU secondary ready to face Texas Tech Sept. 5.

PonyFans LIVE will be recorded for broadcast on YouTube.com the day after the show, but to hear the insights of the players and coaches we'll interview throughout the season LIVE, make sure you are in attendance at Lakewood's 1st & 10, which is located on the northeast corner of Mockingbird & Abrams (because you never know what these guys will say after the cameras turn off  ).

Following most shows, we'll have an opportunity for fans to ask questions, shake hands and meet the coaches, former players and other Mustang luminaries. The first show was a huge success, so think of what you want to ask, grab your autograph book and be sure to join us each and every week for the only show in town dedicated solely to SMU athletics: PonyFans LIVE!

If need be, TAKE THE AFTERNOON OFF FROM WORK, OR LEAVE EARLY — let's fill up Lakewood's 1st & 10 with PonyFans! Get your questions (and autograph books) ready, bring your appetite, and join us at 6 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 25 for another edition of PonyFans LIVE!

Russell Carter is one of the greatest athletes to ever wear a pony on his hat. If you guys don't pack the place for a lineup like Odum and Carter, I'm disowning the lot of ya!

This should be a great, great show!! I hope to see you all there.

I'd say best DB. As far as best defensive player, I'd call it a draw between Russell Carter and Michael Carter — they were the best I ever saw.

I wish I could get back to Dallas for this, I'd love to get Russell Carter to sign my September, 1983 Playboy Magazine, in which he was named a pre-season all American :)

Will they sign autographs?
I'd love to start an SMU-only autograph collection.

Awesome show! SMU football has never had anything close to as good as this.

I loved how Coach Odum spoke so well of his guys, even though they were sitting there listening, and Russell Carter was unreal. He was one of my favorite players ever, and it was clear how much he loved his time at SMU and still loves his school.

Fantastic job, guys. Keep it up. Can't wait for the next show.

We appreciate all of you who came out to see PonyFans LIVE! at Lakewood's 1st & 10 last night. Special props to Mustang DBs Richard Crawford, Chris Banjo, Ryan Smith and Sterling Moore, who came out in support of Coach Odum, and defensive lineman Marquis Frazier and SMU women's basketball center Heidi Brandenburg who were also in attendance.

Apologies if you are already aware, but YouTube says part II has been removed because it is too long.
