Just curious as BYU seems to be headed that way. Could we pull it off?

No. We are still happy to be riding the coattails of others in the conference. They need us and we need them kind of thing. If you go independent you better have the fan support and dollars and branding to attract tv dollars and bowl games as a seperate entity. I really don't understand why Utah was a bigger attraction to the Pac 10 than BYU. BYU is stil top dawg in Utah.

No, our attendance is too low. We travel poorly. If we were independent material the Big XII would have added us in a heartbeat.
