at least, I can have something positive to look forward to. sorry for your wasted trip -- maybe the coffee and donuts on the way were worth it?

68 miles round trip for me. I was able to use an app to spot a clear shot to the HD satellite from our blvd spot though.

We're shaking up our non-conference? Don't tell me A&M finally bought that game out.

lol....okay, could be better worded (non-"conference shake-up" thread -- there). but, it only shows my withdrawal from today's dearth of team/player news.

That's last I heard, too, but I honestly have no idea as to what the current status is.

Just got back. Was multi-tasking, so I didn't take the most extensive notes, but here you are a few:
• It's hotter than the base of a live volcano in Ford Stadium. QB Kyle Padron actually used the phrase "not that bad" to describe the 99-degree heat.
I'm seriously starting to worry about Kyle.
• CB Sterling Moore, WR Cole Loftin and WR Ryan Walker sat out again, and Brad Haynes sat out with a walking boot on his foot (he said it's just a slight strain — said he'll be OK). At one point, Chayse Joubert (thumb) and Darius Johnson (didn't catch up to him, but he was stretching as if he had a leg cramp) also sat out a few plays, so that meant five wide receivers were out. Johnson returned after a few plays.
• More shuffling on the offensive line: the starting five remained intact — LT Kelvin Beachum, Jr., LG Bryce Tennison, C Blake McJunkin, RG Kelly Turner and RT J.T. Brooks — but the coaches then tried new combinations. Tennison took some reps at center with the first-team offense, with Bryan Collins stepping in at left guard. Head coach June Jones said after practice that McJunkin is still the starting center.
• Zach Line again took the first-team reps at running back.
• Whether the battle for the starting strong safety spot is shaking out is not yet clear, but Ryan Smith has been taking a lot of the snaps.
• The team worked out with no shoulder pads Friday, so there was nothing that even resembled hitting.
Sorry this is brief — more thorough tomorrow.

You cannot imagine ho much even a brief report means to those of us who cannot be there. Thank you.

Smallness from our PP is so much greater than supposed fullness elsewhere. Thank you for what you do.
