PonyFans.com is proud to announce the next edition of "PonyFans LIVE!".

The show — brought to you by every Mustang's favorite watering hole Lakewood's 1st & 10, Gameday Cloth and PonyFans.com — the oldest, largest and fastest-growing website dedicated to the SMU Mustangs and PonyFans everywhere — will resume at 6 p.m., Sept. 8 at Lakewood's 1st & 10 (on the northeast corner of Mockingbird and Abrams in Dallas).

The Ponies will be preparing for their home opener that weekend against UAB, and to get ready, PonyFans LIVE will feature two players who know a little something about playing quarterback in big games. Joining our host — award-winning sportswriter Steve [deleted] (a.k.a. PonyPride) — for the next show will be PonyFans LIVE's special guests: former SMU quarterbacks JERAD ROMO, who engineered one of the most remarkable comebacks in the history of SMU sports against the Mustangs' next (home) opponent, UAB, and LANCE McILHENNY, a three-time All-SWC honoree who won more games (going 34-5-1 in his career) than any other quarterback in the history of the Southwest Conference and guided the vaunted Pony Express offense to the only undefeated record in the country in 1982, including a victory over Dan Marino-led Pitt in the Cotton Bowl.

McIlhenny and Romo will be on PonyFans LIVE to share stories about their playing careers at SMU, their impressions of SMU's season opener at Texas Tech, their impressions of Kyle Padron's first game of the year, what to expect in the UAB game ... anything quarterback-related, these guys know it. So get to Lakewood's 1st & 10, come here what they have to say, ask them questions and bring a pen for autographs.

PonyFans LIVE will be recorded for broadcast on YouTube.com the day after the show, but to hear the insights of the players and coaches we'll interview throughout the season LIVE, make sure you are in attendance at Lakewood's 1st & 10, which is located on the northeast corner of Mockingbird & Abrams (because you never know what these guys will say after the cameras turn off ).

Following most shows, we'll have an opportunity for fans to ask questions, shake hands and meet the coaches, former players and other Mustang luminaries. in addition to your autograph book, you may want to bring a camera. we have Lance's Sun Bowl jersey framed on the wall. would make for a cool backdrop for a photo if he's agreeable to it.

Hey web guys...I was honored to sit at the Ponyfans.com table for the TTech game at 1st & 10 but unfortunately I can't make it Wednesday. I still have the original "last-3-seconds" of the 2005 SMU-UAB game which I will send if you don't have a copy. With Romo as your guest what could be better to play it again....LOUD! I'll even edit out the dead spot. Let me know if you want it. My ears are still ringing from Sunday.
