On the back of our homecoming float one year, we put

"Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor?"

(Obviously we weren't trying to win "Best Float").

Someone from the Dallas Morning News saw it and wrote an article in the paper questioning what students were learning at SMU - don't they know the Germans didn't bomb Pearl Harbor?

Lots of laughs at Chapter and a nice response back.

BTW I always bring the flag with two suction cups so you can hang it in the window of the hotel.
