Same format as Kate's schedule prediction, a slideshow-type story.
An interesting read. I think he has us ranked about right for where the program is at this point.

Probably about right for now. I guess Sherrington's talking about FBS teams but Texas State and SFA are probably better than North Texas right now...

very probably.... neither is a slouch - NTSU IS a slouch. He was right in saying that the new stadium will be a good recruiting tool for the new coach.

Dodge will be gone, but a new stadium does nothing for recruiting. We know this from experience!

I humbly disagree. The plans for the new stadium and the stadium itself were used pretty effectively by Cavan and Bennett. The problems were elsewhere.

Sherrington needs to put down the purple pom poms. Longhorns would smoke the Toads. I doubt they beat the Beavers. I am calling the upset. We'll see.

I agree. Both went to bcs games. Both lost. But you put TCU up against UT and its obvious to me who the winner is.

TCU the BEST PROGRAM IN TEXAS????? Did I just read that right?

Put both of them on the same field, and UT would roll over those Frogs! Heck, Tech just might even beat them.

TCU thought it was too much to play Baylor, Tech, and Oregon St, so they dropped Tech this year. Would love to play them again.

He's just doing his part to sell papers. UT would smoke TCU.

Don't forget that Utah from the Mtn West smoked Alabama the year before in their bowl matchup. The Rose Bowl very easily could have gotten way out of hand for UT had Saban not called off the dogs. That's one bit of evidence in TCU's favor

I disagree. Alabama barely escaped Texas without Colt McCoy. If Mackie Mack had taken a knee before half and let his freshman go to the locker room and calm down instead of the turnover then Texas wins that game. If Colt stayed healthy then UT wins. Just my opinion..which is not worth much.

I like Oregon State...but with all the time TCU has had to gameplan it will be a tight game...

However, TCU in the big 12 ties with TT or A&M every year, despite how good they think they are.

I hope TCU is #1 when we beat them.

Strongly disagree. Alabama's defense toyed with Texas after getting a big lead. The moment Texas/Gilbert looked like a threat, the hammer came back down again.

Bama's defense was better than Nebraska's or Oklahoma's, two teams that Texas barely beat. McCoy was a special player (at the college level), but he would have needed to pull off some miracles to beat Bama.
