well the hopes of MWC becoming an AQ are gone, and they aren't coming back. You may read TCU fans acting like they're glad to be rid of BYU, but don't believe if for a second. There is no silver lining. Losing the 2 Utah schools in favor of Fresno and Nevada is a killer.
Now let's see if they go after 2 CUSA schools. I doubt we will be one, but I think I'd rather stay in CUSA anyway if everyone else stays. Tough call.

Would much rather stay in CUSA, still have nightmares about the WAC schedule.

Have to stay in C-USA - East coast time playing schedule and media schedule is key.
Game starting at 10 or 12 at night - DON'T WORK
Maybe we take a few more into our league????

We add LaTech and UNT when they take UTEP and Houston. Fair trade

Actually I would bet that they take us and Houston. UTEP "location" wise makes sense, but "competition" wise and "reputation of the school" wise SMU makes much more sense.

How do you figure that?

Actually, given that they have no shot at gaining aq status the most logical move for them would be to add Utah State and UTEP or New Mexico State. I hope we can trade TCU for UTEP and they add Utah State and New Mexico state. That would be the best move for both conferences.
Hawaii goes independent, Idaho drops down to I-AA and La Tech moves to the Sun Belt.

Although someone on TCU's board did make a good point. Houston post Case Keenum will be bad considering their bad defense and I cant explain why the MWC is rumored to be looking at UTEP.

Why in the world would the MWC want to add more mouths to feed if they have no shot at gaining AQ status?

Why in the world would we want to join the MWC less BYU? Less TV money, fewer bowls, more travel costs, no AQ status. Someone please explain any sort of upside.

All the schools I mentioned are very good in basketball and you would get to 12 for a conference championship in football.
