Thanks for the link.

Weak MWC press release. Not much sympathy for MWC and none for Fresno State and Nevada, who reneged on their commitment to stay with WAC.
As for WAC, what is their future? Hawai'i is probably gone now.

I believe the unofficial statement from the MWC was along the lines of "Those mother ****!"

bummer for TCU; they "forgot" about our past with BYU and Utah and made a move they thought would position them for BCS inclusion...only to be left at the altar once again.
I think this comes down to Utah and BYU recognizing there will be no more "inclusion" at the BCS table than what the current system allows. BYU wasn't invited to the PAC 10 or Big XII in large part because of their church affiliation, so it appears they made their decision on how best to maximize their revenues.
TCU and Boise remain strong programs...and might still have a shot for one of them to make a BCS game (never again both)...but they don't fill 60k plus stadiums so they are always going to remain "red headed step children" in the world of college football.
There will be more changes ahead, but I still see the MWC ultimately reunited with the WAC. I still like the long term prospects of CUSA vs the western schools, if for no other reason than "eastern" media coverage...where the majority of the US population still resides..but more than ever, it makes sense for eastern and western "step children" to figure out a way to work together for a bigger piece of the pie. We just have to acknowledge we don't have "big boy" clout" when it comes to expecting an equal share of $$$. I'd settle for an equal opportunity to win a national championship as a cinderella story, like March Madness gives everyone in hoops.

I agree with CP. The Frogs, Broncos and the remaining MWC/CUSA members are not going to 'crash' the BC$. The state school boys with full stadiums aren't going to share. Perhaps the "play-in" model splits the difference, especially with an extra BC$ Bowl to make it acceptable.

The goal is not a BCS game...the goal is a national championship game.

Agreed. But the best path to get there is the question on the table.

We had an outside chance for BCS inclusion the way things were before, now we have no chance with the MWC in present form. It was slim now none. Can't miss what you didn't have. And WaterPony is right- the big boys ain't gonna share. All we can do is continue to position ourself well- and keep winning. National Championship along the way wouldn't hurt either.

FAT CHANCE TCU will ever even get close enough to perceive the aroma of an NC.
My "Bad Boy" Trojans will have another dozen before you'll ever get a sniff!

Not so fast, my Trojan Friend. NCAA will hold Reggie and his alma mater down a bit.
