PonyFans.com interview with Ja'Gared Davis

Personally, I still don't think the Mustang D gets all the respect it deserves. I guess that happens when you've been bad in the past and you play in the pass-happy CUSA. But I think one thing everyone agrees with is that the defense made great strides last year after coach Mason switched the Ponies to a 3-4 defensive scheme and some new faces began to emerge as stars.
One of those bright spots, without question, was true freshman Ja'Gared Davis. Even playing undersized as a freshman, by the end of the year there were flashes where Davis literally took over games, playing havoc with opposing offenses. Back for his sophomore year, and having added 20-some pounds, Davis talks about his improvement, his fellow linebackers and preparing for Texas Tech.
