ESPN is a disgusting monster...it is an evil behemoth. The size and power of it as a network is shocking to say the least. I sure hope they like SMU as a television commodity for ANY reason...it would be a huge boon to our stock if the evil overlord is in our corner.

That and as well as ESPN rating TCU as having the easiest schedule of the top 10 teams in the country.

Particularly if Fresno State, Nevada, and Boise State decide that the WAC is now a better option. I know that Boise State is allowed to return to the WAC without penalty, but am not certain as to the others.

Even so, with no chance of becoming an AQ conference, these schools may find the WAC more comfortable given the financial benefits it will gain from its relationship with BYU. Furthermore, Nevada and Fresno State will be able to avoid the five million dollar penalty the WAC is seeking from them both. If this happens, the original plan of the WAC adding SDSU and UNLV may yet come to pass.

TCU could easily find itself left in a conference with only Wyoming, Colorado State, and New Mexico.

Really wish Texas would cancel those games with BYU.

I don't see any way that Boise, Fresno State, and Nevada crawl back to the WAC. The MWC, even weakened as it is, is a better conference than the WAC.

That is the other possibility. In this scenario, I expect that MWC to invite Utah State and New Mexico State. There is a great deal of political pressure in New Mexico that may force this to happen. Such moves give Air Force even greater motivation to go independent, which in turn will provide TCU with more reasons to look for a new home.

If indeed Air Force bolts then TCU really is left with no other possible destination than CUSA. How delicious.

How's this for bold. CUSA makes invites to Boise, Air Force, TCU, and La Tech?
