Riley asks ... Could SMU take a major step back if they get blown out of the water this weekend? Do you see that happening?

Kevin Sherrington: I could see it happening, but I don't think it would be a major step back. Some of the expectations for SMU have been too high. It's still a work in progress. Plenty of time to salvage a good season.

I think Kevin made a good point in the chat when he said this game will better show what level Tech is at in their program than us. If we do get blown out (pray that doesn't happen) it doesn't mean we wont be competitive the rest of the year.

If SMU does get blown out (what is a blow out anyway?), it has nothing to do with SMU, and has everything to do with Tech coming out, and playing lights out.

Jones is a VERY tough environment to play in, and we have been very, very strong at home in the last several years. We even blew out OU last year, so it wouldn't mean SMU is horrible...really just that SMU ran into a buzzsaw, of sorts.
