Hope we play well at Tech (and of course win) but looking big picture winning conference game at home with UAB more important. This is especially true given UAB's loss last night. We will have short week so hope no major injuries at Tech. If we get down by alot hope coach gets some backups some reps and get starters ready for UAB.

Also, WAC and Benson apparently very interested in UTSA possible move to WAC. Discussions with Coker and the AD about how soon UTSA could be prepared for a WAC invite.

Agreed. UAB is the most important game of Sept. I know that is blasphemy considering our scheduled out of conference opponents, but UAB is Sept's key game. It is a home game, conference game, and an opponent we should beat. JJ thought UAB had some of the best physical talent of CUSA teams back in the summer. And UAB has a long week to prepare and we have a short week to prepare. That increases the challenge.

WSU is the second most important game. Once again, a home game and a beatable BSC team. An opportunity to create some momentum (assumes we beat UAB) and establish some OOC respect.

To beat TCU and TTU would be a thrill beyond imagination. But a loss to either one or both doesn't end our season. A loss to UAB puts our season into serious jeopardy.

We are on the same page. Beat UAB and WSU then focus on conference.

2-2 in September works for me.

I had stated in an early post that UAB game is very important because it is a conference game. Can't win the West if you don't beat UAB. Still would be nice to beat Tech and TCU.

That may be a little overdone seeing how it's the second game of the season. But assuming a loss to Tech, you'd kinda like to get this one.

UAB is the most important Sept game, but going at least 2-2 is important if this program is going to continue to build on last year's finish. If these guys can manage to do better than 2-2, then they are way ahead of what anyone could have imagined.
