I wish he would grow that 'stache again. It suits him well.

“The stadium is perfect for now,” Jones said. “They’d lost for so many years, there was a reason nobody came. We have approval (to expand) to 65,000 at some point in the future. I’d like to do that."

That's the single best article on the June Jones era I've seen.

A more open discussion than anything in the local media. Great to hear him talk about his future at SMU.

I did not know that JJ reached out to SMU throught Dickerson in the middle of his last season at Hawaii. I thought it was a Dallas sports search firm that screened potiential coaches and made the recommendations to the AD. Maybe we should give Dickerson some extra credit for program involvement that he has not received until this past year.

Pony nation needs to drop on its collective knees and thank goodness that ED had the connections and SMU had the cash to make this happen. ED is not an extrovert or a great media guru but he did what was best for us. That is good enough in my book.

And don't forget it was Orsini who went out to LA and befriended ED before all that happened as ED was not high on SMU because of all of our misteps and no one reaching out to ED for help before.....Eric had to hear from Steve that THIS time SMU was serious about competing at a high level. Eric would never have endorsed SMU to his friend JJ without Orsini's commitment.

None of this says that JJ would not have reached out to someone else if he was not friends with ED.
