So glad for him. I had hoped he would catch on somewhere.

As a life long Giants fan (Yeah... I know, I know - no accounting for taste), I am happy about this for both the NYG and Shawnbrey. This is a really good position for him. Former Giants practice squad members include Grant at GB, one of the Jets starting RBs from 2 seasons ago, among others. The Giants are jammed at RB. They will not resign him, but Tom Coughlin is really good about picking up the phone and calling other coaches about guys from his practice squad (after he is sure he cannot use them). This could be a really good thing long-term for Shawnbrey.

Gilbride will be happy; shawnbrey already knows the base scheme

3:35 PM Update: Reports of McNeal as the eight player signed are erroneous, so as of now, there are only SEVEN players confirmed to have signed with the Giants' practice squad.

it looks like the situation is fluid, for now.
I'm seeing some chatter from Charger's blogs/boards that Shawnbrey is 'weighing his options' to either be on the Charger's practice squad or......?
I hope he decides soon before he's left out completely.
