Five great things about Sunday's loss

Postby Donnell88 » Sun Sep 05, 2010 11:44 pm

Sorry, can't make a top-10 list but here's five reasons to be happy:
(5) Cole Beasley: Showed some great hands (and some lucky hands). And I love how
he found the open seams.
(4) Zac Line: I agree, he's not a breakaway threat. But neither was Mike Alstott - and
72 yards on 12 carries was a pleasant addition to our rushing stats.
(3) Our linebackers: They were making plays all over the field and gave our offence a
chance to win. Also, liked the play of Cameron Rogers in his cameo role. But we must, must, must get rid of that 3-man rush.
(4) Fourth-down efficiency (by our defence), two blocked kicks, a 61-yard field goal, a great stop on
Tech's fourth-down gamble......and,
(5) Daryl Fields: A 92-yard kickoff return in your first college game. Dude, you rock.

I like that the list goes 5-4-3-4-5.

Agree with your points, for the most part. Beasley had a rocky start to the game with a couple of drops, but did make up for it with that TD catch.

Cole rebounded in the second half, but he dropped 3 passes and really four ,but it wasn't that good of a pass, but still catchable. He was hearing footsteps after the first hit.....just catch the ball as you are going to get hit anyway. He wasn't really a highlight.
The list is 54345 because he is Canadian and uses the metric system...lol

I would add great open field tackling. Especially for a team that hasn't gone through a full scrimmage. There was plenty of times in the pass where our D player was embarrassed in the open field. They didn't miss a one and that keep TTU from some big plays.
