Posted: Mon Sep 06, 2010 8:44 amWe know how important it is that a back up QB be ready/able to go in and play if needed......remember the UH game last year. I just hope that KP is o.k. and has the first game jitters out of his system. I think they said yesterday was his 12th game to start---counting the 5 in high school!! He is going to do great----he showed he has the ability to come back.

It may have been humbling for the kid, but we can be sure this quesiton is not JJ's first concern. I watched him counsel Kyle after a few bad plays. His body language and demeanor was one of patience and coaching.

Posted: Mon Sep 06, 2010 9:10 amNo doubt Padron did not look good. He held the ball a long time often so maybe the receivers were not all doing their job. Perhaps some credit should go to the TT defensive coordinator and their secondary.

Posted: Mon Sep 06, 2010 11:51 amTiming was way off because the receivers were getting jammed and re-routed, Kyle panicked a few times and forced some balls into tight coverage. He'll look at lot better the next 2 games against defenses not nearly as athletic as Tech's.
