Will go 9-3. If healthy throughout out they will. Defensively SMU is fast and reckless. Offensively they seem out of sorts but no doubt that was a very tough team and easily a bigger and faster opponent. Erase foolish turnovers and the L is a W. TCU, Navy and Houston are concerns but Smu should get 1 or 2 of them. 9-3.

Never assume that. Too many things can happen. Let us hope for the best, though.

The front seven seems pretty solid on defense although we need to get more pressure on the QB. The secondary needs help. The offensive line looks good. Padron looked bad but maybe his receivers contributed to his problems. Line is a hoss and maybe Field can help. The kicking game was solid with the exception of the fumble. We need more depth. Without key injuries we can be pretty good but I don't see 9-3. More like 7-5.

The thing that most impressed me was that even after coming out in the second half anf having tt score another touchdown.... the Mustangs kept fighting and could have tied the game in the end.

They play hard.. we need a few more players but we are going to get there.

Very true. We should remember that it wouldn't take much (injury, for example) to have things go in a completely opposite direction.

UTEP game on the road is not an automatic win by any means. I think that game and ECU are potential losses, but certainly don't hope so.

Also - in 25 years nobody has been "getting up" for a game with SMU - and that has now changed. Every team in our conference are now on notice we should be among the best - and they will be gunning for us. TCU noticed that score for sure - and where they had "easy win over long time door-mat" in their head, now they are thinking - "we better bring some game".

That changes how we have to prepare. We aint sneaking up on anyone anymore.

I predicted 9-3 on a previous thread. But I'd love for the team to get more wins.

Like so many say, it starts with the lineman. Hope SMU's will only improve this year and the future....etc.
