While driving home after the game I caught the last few minutes of Tuberville's interview with the Tech play by play guy. They were discussing the blocked FG's in the game. Tuberville comments that if SMU does not block those kicks, Tech probably goes onto beat SMU they way we should beat a team like that". Meaning, he thinks this game should have never been close.
I will give the coach the benefit of the doubt and assume he is still in game mode and probably still pretty pi$$ed off his team barely beat that little team from the Hilltop. Still being a SMU fan I did not care for the comment.

I might add that at the end of the 2nd quarter, the ESPN side line reporter got a similar response when he said that he wanted 'points after touchdown' vs. the missed field goals. He knew he had the better team and came off as arrogant to me.

They were the better team, but we proved we're catching up.

Like I posted elsewhere, at the end when they were taking a knee, the look on his face let you know that he knew they were darn lucky to walk away w/a win............this part goes on another thread, but.........maybe it was good for him he had the 2 Texas Rangers escorting him!!!!!!!

His comment was more like "hopefully our kicks the rest of the game will be for extra points and not field goals" as if to say that PATs are easier kicks than long field goals. His comment there really didn't come off as arrogant to me.
He's much MUCH better with his in-game and post-game comments than Leach ever would have been.

I thought he came over arrogant. As to his post game comments I also thought he would be smart enough to be more politically correct. He should know you don't belittle a JJ team or you will pay for it.

Well, sadly we have to sit on this one for 3 seasons before we get them again in 2013. At least that one is at Ford Stadium.

No-one should be even bringing up Tubs arrogance. Compared to Leach, he is the most mild manored coach I have ever seen!

Well maybe he is just trying to make his players feel bad, but he also stated he was disappointed in their running game as they should have done much better against SMU. Doesn't give SMU credit for anything...it wasn't that SMU played well, it was that Tech didn't play well.

Going for it on fourth down at that part of the field shows you all you need to know about how he felt about us and the score.
(And he got what he deserved as a result.)
