Status of McNeil?

What is current status ?.....conflicting stuff out there and no confirmations anywhere...his FB page is silent as well...must be negotiating ...we hope.

I see nothing new.
both chargers and giants official sites show 8 players on practice squads (maximum) with no mention of Shawnbrey. if he's negotiating, I sure hope he's being realistic.

It is my understanding that he is current offering his talents and hoping there is a buyer out there.

but, you would think a practice squad spot would be a 'bird in the hand', you know?
I just learned that any team can sign any player off of any other team's practice squad at any time, so refusing such a spot doesn't make a lot of sense to me.
unless, maybe...... a team is already giving him a real roster spot and he's just negotiating terms?

You have to pay them if you put them on your practice squad, and even though the owners have money, they first do not want to waste it and second, have a salary cap to stay within. So you have to be selective with your picks, even on the practice squad.

CFL is well into their season and they have a foreign player limit. Probably too late in the season for a shot in the CFL.

slightly old news from that blog. giants official site lists the full complement of 8 players signed to practice squad, including RB Charles Scott. so, it looks like that window might be closed.

Yes it is fivemom. But as jerry Jones said on the ticket the other day. you have to assume it will be back and plan your budget for the future.

I believe the salary for being on the practice squad is $1,000 a week, so I seriously doubt money is a factor.
