Lots of good nuggets in there.
Thought this was interesting:

Fields said he was thinking mostly about the fact that a Tech defender chased him down.
"I was thinking 'I don't want that to happen again,'" Fields said. "That could've been the difference."

I agree...I replayed the scene 4-5 times and you could clearly see Fields looking back. He's not used to guys like Ben McRoy following him. Even though McRoy's incredibly fast, I don't think he catches him if Fields doesn't look back.
