amazing one handed catch

purely awesome

I was working out yesterday evening, and the college top 10 plays came on Sportscenter. A few of the guys around me saw DJ's catch and went nuts.

Darius also had an awesome 1 handed TD catch in the endzone in high school that caught a lot of attention.

It is so obvious the kid can make some unbelievable catches and he has been compared to ES and a great player so I have to ask.....other than against SFA when he made the circus catch for a td and hurt his shoulder last year, why can't we get the ball to him downfield instead of 5 and 10 yard out routes. In other words, a spectacular catch for 10 yards is just that but a spectacular catch and run for a long td is so much better. Do we not throw deep to anyone but Aldrick since ES is gone?

I think only time will tell in regards to your question. It is obvious that DJ can stretch the field, and hopefully Saturday we will see KP air it out against an abysmal secondary. I'd love to see 3-5 passing plays of 25+ yards.

While watching the Nationals suck against the Mets last night, I channel surfed over to the Experts on ESPNU. They were showing the catches of the week and one guy said my vote goes to my man DJ on that catch against TT. The throw was behind him, etc. Nice to be noticed for once.

DJ made that catch left handed. What a catch.

But really, it's great to get positive publicity for a great catch. The only thing that kind of makes me mad is that if Julio Jones, AJ Green, or Michael Floyd made that catch it would without a doubt be on all of the highlight reels. Let's hope DJ can ascend to their ranks.
