You know several members of the Pro Football Hall of Fame started out their careers as running backs and were converted to wide receivers because of their size and speed. (Charley Taylor and Bobby Mitchell to name two). Fields has breakaway speed, he's got good size, my question is whether or not he might be more useful as a wide-out. Any thoughts on that?

I think he is built to be a RB. My opinion.

Good observation. In my opinion, he is not built to be a wideout but could be extremely productive in that role as a big slot, H-back type of guy. Physically at this point in his development he is freakishly similar to Shannon Sharpe. A more recent example of that type of player would be Dustin Keller out of Colorado or Purdue, cant remember. Anyway, plays for the Jets now. 6'1" to 6'3" guys (usually 230-250#) with burst, speed, and ability to get off the line quick do to their lack of height, really a nightmare for linebackers to cover consistently. A superback in the RnS is the ideal big slot/Hback but most RnS teams don't that enough of those high talent guys with speed to make it at the next level in college. On the flip side of the coin, think of how productive Reggie Bush would be as a slot in the RnS.
