For a undersized D-line

A. Davis weighs 255 (number 55) and plays NG. I have been on this board and said that can not work.

Tonight I watched the D play well against this class of team. I saw the middle line support the small NG and the speed at LB make up for the lack of size.
Kind of glad I do not have to make those plans.

With Flavenue (sp) and O-Guinn at over 300 pounds... What does that say about them or Davis?

Great win.
We must have some studs at LB. Marquis got hurt and that alarms me.
Oh love me some DE's.
Love your MUSTANGS.

Margus looked fine after the game. I think he cramped. Our LBs are good. JaGared Davis should be an All American by the time he is a Senior.

With Taylor and Hunt on the ends.. I'd hardly say our d-line is undersized. Ageed that our NT has a tendancy to be physically overmatched.. but those two guys looked great tonight too.

Mason has worked miracle in the last two years. He doesn't get to recruit the D side of the ball as much as he would like. Yet, he has found some very good players.

When was the last time, at midfield, SMU past up taking a penalty to put our opponent into a 2 and 15 just so we could shut them down on a 3rd and 5? I can't believe how much confidence our coaches are showing in our D. And our D is stepping up to the challenge.

I love a great offense but I admire a great defense. We stay healthy and the defense could be great.

I don't remember seeing him in.

I did notice our "second" front 7 make some places when they were in. Braden Smith at LB, Grenier, Cznerniak, Rogers, et al
