Anybody know the prognosis?

I was talking to Justin Smart after the game. He didn't say anything about injuries.

We had plenty of players down. Most got up and moved off the field on their own power.

still unknown, but JJ commented in post-game remarks that the team doc didn't think he re-injured his knee. further eval and any necessary work-up on monday.

Actually, Jones said they didn't think it was a repeat of the same injury he had last year, but Jones didn't deny that there was some injury. He said that the on-field examination indicated the joint was structurally sound, but that as you said, further evaluation should come in the next 24 hours or so.

Please don't let it be a torn ACL. Sterling is our most talented guy in the secondary, not to mention THE leader on the defense..would be a horrible loss

Did UAB even throw to his side all game long? Word must be getting out about how good he is — UAB offense was scared of him.
Get better, Sterling.

I did not notice if Parks ever played. I would sure like to get him some snaps. If Sterling is out for a while, I wonder if we could move Ryan Smith over to corner? He seems to have pretty good coverage skills and we have some depth at safety with Scott and Sorrell.

Does the brace mean he can still play? I hope so....he looked in good spirits after the game and seemed kind of matter of factly about the injury, so maybe its ok.

He played in a brace for part of last season, didn't he?
If it keeps him on the field, bring on the brace.

SMU played the second team secondary one series, I think. He definitely saw the field.
