1966 through 1993, a stretch of 26 games where SMU WON 21 of those games (81%), not to mention, 15 IN A ROW...I don't recall some "Johnnie come lately", "go away, you bore us.." attitude towards tcu by the SMU faithful?? I certainly admire tcu's RECENT success, it gives me hope, but, man, the attitude, the patronizing, condescension from the tcu faithful towards SMU borders on laughable!! In all honesty, and no flame intended, but....I have never felt the same "stress, unpleasantness, gall, rancor, inferiority" VS. tcu that they seem to so obviously feel towards us (I had better, bigger things to worry / wonder about) :hmm: ...but, we have DOMINATED them in MANY, MANY ways for soooooo long, maybe for the first time ever (in their "minds"..)they GOT US...who knows...anyway, beat the HECK out of tcu, and if not, and they win, I hope it elevates their self esteem a bit...

I think SMU folks would not act the foo' but remember, there were no anonymous web boards back then. I can tell you first hand that the tcu idiots that post on this board and theirs - are NOT representative of the rank-and-file tcu alums and students. They (AND the SMU flamers on their board) just are social deviants that lurk the Internet (sans a life) - looking to get thier rocks off stiring people up. If confronted in person, these cowards would never say any jibba jabba like what they post.

I assure you - Mr. T speaks to the board the EXACT way he would speak to people in the real world. I challege ANY SUCKA to engage T in intellegent discourse regarding the state of college athletics for private institutions.

No, you're right. SMU fans are high class folk. Remember the U of Texas game in the cotton bowl where the SMU coeds raised the banner saying, "Our maid's kid goes to U of Texas." Now THAT'S SMU class!

Offensive banners are perfectly acceptable part of a regional college rivalry, in my book. Nobody held up a banner saying, "We'd rather not play Texas anymore, because we've beaten them 4 years in a row."

When you listen to many frogs, you realize that "perspective" has become a foreign concept to them. There is no "old" rivalry in college football more evenly split than the Iron Skillet, 38-38-7. TCU has beaten us 4 years in a row. Four. Whoopee. This is far from an NCAA record, frogs. And if you go back to the previous 7 years (1992-1998), well, guess what, Ponies WON that series, 4-3. Forget the 20 years in a row we beat them. Our last 11 meetings, frogs hold a 7-4 advantage. All I can say is, perspective goes out the window, and memories are short, when you're 20-3 over two years.

Let's go Stangs! Frogs have zero respect for you! Let's see what kinda Pony Pride y'all got, and try to shut some frogs up on Saturday.

You are right, KS, is is ALL about perspective, and right now, add-ran has a somewhat "pumped up" view of themselves...that's "ok". The LAST time tcu had won "4 in a row" was 62 - 65...it seems to me that from 66 - 93, WE won 80PLUS% of those games.....BEAT ADD RAN!!!! :thumbupcool:
