UH officials have indicated they will provide no update until some time Sunday night and that Keenum will not be available until Tuesday.

On the one hand, UH actively promotes Keenum as a Heisman Trophy candidate and tries to parlay his status into increased exposure for the school. On the other hand, UH to this point is not even willing to say what sort of medical precautions or safeguards it's taking to ensure the care of its most visible player.

Would be huge for us if he misses extended time...

he was hit in the head by runner's knee, as he tried to tackle.
sat on the bench the rest of the game, after a lot of attention by staff.
it obviously looks like a head injury, but since everyone in football is fearful of labeling it a concusssion (with requisite time-off implications), it looks like a few days before they convince themselves of a decision, one way or the other.

it was definitely a concussion.
looked to me like he took a foot to the head.
he shouldn't play this week but he might if they need him.
cotton something their backup looked pretty good, what little i saw of him.
