For the record...

For the record, I have abandoned all complaints regarding "things."

You know what things are.

I am no longer going to complain about horses, mustangs, geldings, stallions, racehorses, shetland ponies or mares. Until they let an unbridled untrained ungelded feral horse run free in the stadium, it is always going to be a compromise.

I am no longer going to complain about announcers who can't pronounce the name of our punter. The dude tries. Have you ever done PA? it is a beating and it moves fast when you have to announce after every play.

I am no longer going to complain about a scoreboard that runs the Elon score before the OU-Florida State score or Alabama-Penn State. I have an iphone that barely works in Ford. But the only score I need in Week 2 is on the scoreboard.

I am no longer going to complain about the music selection. Not by the PA and not by the band. Just play Peruna often. I am in the bathroom at halftime; play what you want.

I am no longer going to complain about the direction of the pony or the curl of its tail. If it is blue or red or white and it says SMU, fine. Is SMU getting any money off it? Am I? Probably not enough to make a difference.

I am no longer going to complain about cheerleaders, JV cheerleaders, pom squad or Junior cheerleaders. Add a few, drop a few, eat a few less cheese fries, I don't care.

Yeah, the gameday presentation could be better. I have actually offered to help back in the blog days and was kinda brushed off. Fine. I think I could have fixed it, but I assure you, many people would have been unhappy with what I would have done.

I just don't give a [deleted]. I just want to watch SMU win. I want to sit in my seats in 206 and yell and not be harassed (and I am not). Perhaps it is because me, BrianTinBigD and SMU96 are bigger than everybody else and we have crazed looks in our eyes on 3rd down.

...but I am going to donkey punch the next preppie I see wearing a pink shirt and searsucker shorts to an SMU game.

I couldn't disagree more with Dooby.

If all of us just quit caring about all the things Dooby listed, then this website would shrivel up like dried gelding droppings and blow away.

Forget football, what about the new dorms?

So if you quit complaining can I pick up the slack? At least I don't have the swinging gate or asinine coaching decisions to keep me occupied. Crummy popcorn and a $5 Coke Zero that tastes like crap keep me busy most of the time.

Can we complain about Dooby not complaining?

What about the discontinuation of playing classical music at games? Why has there been no outcry as to the far less artistic music we are now subjected to? Surely Meadows will come to the defense of this SMU football tradition!

Sounds like a fashion complaint...

Are the boys still wearing that crap? That's really too bad. I'd hoped that after 30 years that had stopped.

The Blazers and Shorts worn by the Choir in the Pregame looked particularly gay. Not a good look at a Football Game. I wonder whose idea that was. Glad we weren't playing anybody from Texas who might have noticed.
