The hit that JG put on that unsuspecting Blazer player in the 2nd half was one of the best hits I have ever seen live and in person. The sound was epic.

this is not popular for a homer to say, and i am a homer, but I didn't think the hit was that great. The guy was in a defenseless postion and J.Davis teed off a bit high. Not saying it was dirty, but i also didn't care for the celebration and it could have easily been flagged. thats just me.

ok, tough guy. If thats on your highlight reel, its not gonna be much of a season. I like heads up hard hits as much as anyone, a receiver being in a bad spot and turning into an awkward hit, is what it is. I notice the guy held on to the ball. Hmm, and he caught it for a decent gain so save the celebration.

I have no need for the celebrations at any time but that is the way I was trained to play. But the hit was good and very effective. If I am not mistaken the kid he hit was the same one that short armed the pass at the goal line just before half time, the play before the snap it through the legs play. I think he was looking around to see where the next hit was coming from.

He didn't use his helmet...he used his shoulder which is effective tackling technique...
