Both teams have looked awful. Mistakes, penalties, WSU missed a gimme kick. This is one we have got to win, just to keep from looking completely pathetic.

Perhaps but anytime we can hold our own against the AQ teams, it's good. Ours' is a young team & a long road ahead of them for years to come. Go Mustangs!

It was horrid, particularly for a third game.

defense, running game and offensive line solid. passing game very inconsistent but Padron and the WRs showed some flashes and improvement. game easily could have been a 21-28 point spread. some mistakes but we still win handily...I'd like some more consistency from the passing game but otherwise, I'm not [deleted]. Strange how we suddenly think we're entitled to thrash teams that probably have more depth and experience than us.

SMU's front 7 defense is severely overachieving. This is a strong bunch especially at the CUSA Level. A bunch of big plays came when the first teamers were resting or on 3rd down against CBs. SMU dominated the lines on 1st and 2nd down. Still have some problems at CB or this would have been close to a defensive shutout

severe issue at corner. Felt like 5 years ago again when teams just throw the ball up and our small corners spin around lost and then the receiver takes it out of the air wherever its thrown. I know moore was out, but i dont understand how we are so thin at corner year after year.

Agreed. It wasn't what I wanted, but after sitting in Fort Worth watching TCU beat us 44-0 or all the other countless blowouts we've been on the receiving end of...I'll take a sloppy 35-21 victory any day.

There's A LOT to work on before Friday. But we're 2-1 on the year, and had a chance to win the one that we lost in the final moments of the game. Can't complain too much imo.

I thought Crawford looked better. WSU tried the same corner fade that Tech beat him with, and he defensed it well.

Those of us who wanted Parks in there, careful what you wish for. He's still a true freshman, and looks the part, and in time will probably be just fine. But 35-14 wouldve looked better than 35-21.

Never said winning sucks. Never said I wasn't happy; BELIEVE ME, I'M FRIGGIN ECSTATIC. (Keep in mind that my original post was posted at halftime, not after the game).

Just said that both teams were sloppy and capable of better play, and if WSU is playing badly and we still lose to them we are going to look bad.

I hesitate to point it out, but what I think was Parks' first smap at CB was a long TD pass against him.
