Fields Late in the Game

Postby RE Tycoon » Sun Sep 19, 2010 9:19 am

Would have liked to have seen more Fields today, but he did get in for the last series. Was anyone else alarmed by how he was carrying the ball though? He had it far from his body and was being careless in my opinion. Butler even ran onto the field after one of his runs and yelled something at him. I assume he was telling him to keep the ball close to his body. Thoughts?

Could have easily been punched out and returned for a TD. I was holding my breath during each carry.

Noticed that too. Another reason why he's not quite ready. Could get away with that in high school but against a strong defense that ball is knocked out. I'm excited about our o-line in the run game though. Our backs aren't getting touched until the second level. Big boys are nasty this year!!!!

I also get nervous when Kyle runs the ball. Never tucks the ball it seems.

I noticed that too. I also noticed that if Fields gets out of one of those tackles he is gone to the races. I can assure you those DB's do NOT want him back out there in their zones....he is a tough take down and if he gets his jets going......I can hardly wait to see him go long for a score.
