Lesson learned-SMU's Defensive Line has only a handful of tackles this year but they are very effective in controling the line allowing SMU's LBs run to the ball

I watched a replay some last night. On the "fumbled" punt the gunner was blocked toward the sidlined, changed direction back to the inside and hit Johnson. Very bad call.

On the Jgared play where our man allegedly went helmet
to helmet diving for the ball was a missed call also.

I never like to get into arguing bad calls, and we won the game so it is not sour grapes, but these two calls were very, very bad.

SMU punt return blocker should get Block of the Week since according to referees he drove his man 10 yards from the spot of first contact into Darius Johnson. Total [deleted]

Wow! Jagared Davis even more impressive on replay-he seriously could have had about 6 sacks if he wraps up. Probably the best pass rushing performance I've seen in awhile from SMU. Taylor Reed was just consistently solid. Sure tackler who plays much better than his frame would suggest. Great combination.

Officiating team did not distinguish themselves in this game. There were some bad CB interference calls and another situation ( mind drew a blank) where WSU got a real bad call. I'm not up to speed on the rules for using replay, but some reviews would have been welcomed yesterday.

Nice drive in the end. Zach Line is great - #71 had an outstanding block

and #1 fell asleep on the last drive. Awful TD.

I wish we had Moore at 100% and another solid corner - I'd feel better

Mike Leach mentioned that our defensive line does not weigh that much but are athletic enough to do a very good job.

I have watched this play a dozen times in slow motion. The WS player was slightly shoved away from the receiver by the SMU player when he was at least 6 yards from the receiver. He turned and then went hard towards the the receiver and actually tackled him with both arms outstretched and around the receiver's legs. I hope this play is reviewed by whomever supervises the refs.

First WSU TD wouldn't have happened if the drive had not been extended by a questionable call, 2nd WSU TD was on the kick catch interference where the flag was wrongfully picked up, and WSU's QB also didn't get called for intentional grounding in the endzone, which would have been a safety.

By my count, that's 16 points in the direction of WSU.

That was a pretty pathetic display of officiating. The punt is the one that ticks me off the most since it was reviewed and they had the chance to get it right.
