i would have thought a lot more than that - they are #4 in the nation.

Yes, but not a good #4 like an Alabama or historical Florida.

16 is about right.

i expected a base of 20 pts less the 3 pt home field for a total of SMU +17 or +17.5 to open. if it's +16 to open, it moves to +18 by kickoff.

I am the Motley Fool in this case.

First, I truly believe our starting front 7 on D and our O line can play with anyone in the nation. I have seen Bama live and our team live and I believe in out interior offensive and defensive personnel.

And I note the bias I bring to this board.

Our skilled positions are the area that has to improve. The beauty is they have 3 solid opponents to learn what it takes to prepare and improve.

No doubt, a top 5 team (when was the last time we played a top 5 team at home?) will test our kids. But nothing brings out the best than playing the best. Nothing against UAB or WSU, but our kid will, WILL, step it up to play the absolute best team (#4-5) on our schedule!!!

This is not a learning experience, This is an opportunity, unlike any other in our recent history or JJ's history, to prove we are a force.
