TCU 's Option attack

Yes, Kerley is the biggest threat and loves to rack up yardage against SMU but the Option to Wesley is frightening. Wesley is the best back that know one is talking about and may be the best back they have had since LT. Coach Mason is going to have his work cut out stopping this option attack. Baylor had zero clue how to stop it.

Yes, but the option is a high school offense. Our defense is tons better than the baylor D.
If tcu wants to try the option on us, we will gladly take the win.
I'm more worried about our secondary.

The Option is usually a pretty productive offense against us, high school or not.

they run a multiple offense-if they just ran the option it would be easier to stop.

The only way to stop TCU is to blitz, blitz, blitz. See what Boise State did to them last year. Not many defenses are keen on this plan because TCU has so many weapons, but they forget that Dalton does not perform as well under pressure and if he can't connect with his talented receivers, then why should you worry about them?
For a team like ours with a questionable secondary, we absolutely HAVE to get to Dalton early, often, and with wreckless abandon. Make him afraid to call for a snap.
Beating TCU requires getting in their heads.

Agree. Just like they will try to get to Padron early to get in his head.

The only TCU game I've seen was week 1 against OSU. The Toads seemed to have a little trouble early getting the passing game clicking, so they went to a lot of option. It was very effective. Pretty fun to watch too, from an SWC nostalgia perspective. But I agree that the TCU offense is not a one-trick pony (no pun intended). They have a good QB, good receivers, awesome backs, and a very powerful O-line. They can make it happen in a lot of different ways, depending on what the D is giving them.

Dalton sucks...I'm tired of hearing how great this guy is...
They dominate at running the ball and in the trenches...it makes dalton look like a real QB...go back and watch Boise or OSU...
Dalton can't win you the game, if you force him to make plays down the stretch you can beat them...

TCU may very well be the best team in Texas this year. Anyone who watched the Tech/UT game must have seen that UT has some weaknesses this year. There is only one way to put this, TCU can hit you in multiple ways. We need a little luck, and we need to have Padron have the game of his life and for Line to have the game of his life. Their defense is great, but without Hughes, they are not as dominant. This is a game where we have to match them score for score. If we do, then the 4th quarter will be fascinating. I think the key will be not their offense, but whether our offense can match them.

32 wins in a little over 3 seasons as a starter. I'll take that all day...

Our perimeter rush defense will be tested; we have linebackers that can run.
Our intermediate and deep pass defense will be tested; crawford and sterling need to be healthy.

Dalton wins games. That's all I care about. Rex Grossman was a great college QB. Sounds kind of ridiculous to say the guy sucks...

yes. if we had two good, healthy corners, I'd feel very good about our D going into this game
