Can we please create a sticky thread about FOOTBALL?!

I would like a thread dedicated to the actual plusses and minuses for each team going into the game.

All this talk about buildings, newspaper articles, admissions selections, so and so's team by 1,000, parents' bank accounts, students preferred method of dress, where you like to eat, which city has a better smog rating, IS IRRELEVANT TO THE GAME.

Maybe the board needs a new forum for academics, or buildings or media props since that seems to be the popular method of debate here, but I thought FOOTBALL is about FOOTBALL.

That said: I propose a thread to only discussing the football game, and any post not about it gets deleted if the SMU mods can do that.

Rivalry's are for insults and all that but it isn't even making sense anymore.

You don't think "TCU by 200" written 50 times down the page is insightful analysis?

Well he said please.

Anyway, TCUgonnaplaytheirbowlgameatFordbecauseAGCisnotavailableandtheywontmakeaBCSGAME...

posted this on the other thread at your behest:

for starters, I don't think we can slow TCU down. Which is why I don't think a single punt should remain inbounds. I hope Sterling Moore plays and he's on Kerley all night. I think your running game will be a good test for our front 7, though I still think TCU scores...I dont know what did I predict, 38?

As for the offense, I want to see how our line will do. One of the Tech bloggers mentioned that he thought Beachum would start at most Big XII schools. If your DE's are moving fast upfield, I do think our lack of a speed back will hurt.

The spread vs. Tech was around 13. We lost by 8. The spread vs TCU is 18. I'm hoping for us to be within 10. 14 wouldnt shock me. 21 would suck.

People like this are why we cannot talk football. They are all TCU fans.

Great analysis! How much is TCU going to win by again?

Unintelligent postings by TCU fans

I have only seen the Oregon State game.

Padron will have to click with our receivers to make it a reasonably close game of 14 pts. Hopefully he'll release the ball quickly and find some openings. No turnovers and some nice SMU ball bounces.

If Sterling Moore doesn't start and be able to play ok - it will be a long night for our corners.
Hopefully Dalton will stroll in here thinking it's a cakewalk and get sacked a few times.

TCU wins by 20 pts or so.
