I don't get it. Didn't you lose to Tech?

I guess they think Tech has regressed.

this is curious

this looks like a straw man they have propped up to give them something to knock down in their next ranking.

Longview Lobos were #24 in pre season 5A.

They are 1-3 now due to losses to John Tyler 4A top 10, less than 7 loss to Allen 5A #4
( unsportsman like band & home cooking officials aka officials who have no reproductive oval
objects to call against home team, and imaginitive (sp) calls against the Lobos), and Lufkin #8
by an almost tied last play that ended on the 4 yard line.

Rank this TEAM :!: :!: :!: :!: :!: :!: :!: :!: :!: :!:

BTW, if we are down really bad at half time, I'll be making my way to Kimbrough
Stadium in Murhpy/Plano to see the LOBOS beat Abilene, a top 10 oponent. :!: :!:

MUSTANGS please don't make me leave :!: :!: :!: :!:

REMEMBER 05 :!: :!: :!: They do :!: :!: :!: :!: :!: :!: :!:

That happens all the time in the BCS rankings, so why not in some no nothing poll that means absolutely nothing?

The truth is we got behind early on 2 turnovers, and battled back.

Not saying we would have won, but what if that Fresh punt returner doesn't fumble, or Padron doesn't throw that REALLY BAD INT.

that, and in dallas or a neutral field, it might have been very different. Tech is 15 points better in Lubbock. seriously.

I would have thought 6 or 5, maybe 4.

Sure, but #1 in your heart, right?

I think #4 is probably accurate based on what I have seen.

#1 TCU
#2 Texas
#3 Texas Tech
#4 SMU
#5 Houston OR Texas A&M

Houston would have been #3...but with Keenum out and that humiliating loss to UCLA, they should be #5 or #6. I have Tech slightly over SMU...because of the head-to-head loss, but I agree with the above poster that SMU wins that game in Dallas. I think there is very little difference between Tech and SMU right now.

TCU-Texas could alternate each week. If UT beats OU and/or Nebraska they will rightfully jump the Frogs until TCU travels to Top 10 Utah.

You're probably right on your picks.

FWIW, I don't think that UT is an elite team this year.

If the Hawaii Bowl SMU team shows up this Friday and plays neck and neck with the frogs, I think we will hold the #3 spot. IF by some miracle SMU finds a way to win this Friday...that will make for a very interesting scenario for the rankings. 8)

we should've and could've beat Tech. Glad to see someone is giving us some recognition (no matter how small)...but I do agree with TCUownsthebig12 and calallenstang
