I guess Patterson still thinks this is our Super Bowl.

"It seems like we're getting to be the statement game for a lot of people," Patterson said. "This week SMU is having a 'Red Out' and a bunch of people are coming to the game. But there's no difference for us than any other. "

That's just Coach speak, that's why I hate when coaches/players give interviews, but alas.

Patterson knows this isn't just any game, and he knows we will be fired up (especially with a packed house on ESPN). He can't approach it like any other game, or s*** might hit TCU's fan.

There is more pressure on TCU. They are almost 3 TD favorites and can win out and make some BCS noise. If they can't beat a team with a sophmore QB with less than 15 starts in his entire career, and a team who only plays 3 seniors on their top 22, it will not look good for Patterson.

But we also shouldn't approach this like aTm approaches Texas. Like it's the only game of the year that counts. Coach Jones has the right approach, it's a highly visible game but not the most important game.

This is what I'm hoping for. TCU comes out tight-assed (conservative) and we bomb away, and hopefully take an early lead. The more scared TCU gets about not making the BCS, the better.

Kind of a coach lovefeast.

Had a question though:
The No. 4 Horned Frogs will be the highest ranked team to play on SMU's campus in 28 seasons. The Mustangs have been successful

What 28 seasons?
:?

I don't think that'll be a problem, winning C-USA is the goal, winning or losing against TCU doesn't affect that.
