Hardline on the Boulevard

Postby CalallenStang » Fri Sep 24, 2010 3:37 pm

Just said "We're seeing how they do game day at little ole' SMU...not bad, huh?"

Then one of them said "SMU is coming off the death penalty last year."

One of them wants to do SMU basketball on the radio. Says its his lifelong dream.

Dale Hansen is supposed to be there some this evening from what I heard.

Hardline guys had a good discussion of what it would take to fill Ford Stadium weekly earlier - their formula was keep winning to attract the students + somehow attract some of the "college football snobs" in DFW.

The second part, they said, would have to happen with SMU winning a statement game against someone like OU.

Totally agree, we need to win and keep winning. People will come if we are expected to win and actually win. I just think people have been whipped for so long coming to SMU games that they end up blowing in the end. This is changing with the types of players that we have and that we are recruiting.
