Overall I thought the atmosphere and the game was incredible. The videos coming out of halftime were awesome and pumped the crowd up. But I have a few negatives that we should work on. Mostly on the music situation. -Did yall notice that we had the Jock Jams CD playing the entire time? With Exception to Thunderstruck. Thought we should have a little better selection. -The music would only play as we were breaking the huddle. Wrong timing? -In between downs, the same song would just continue playing. That was annoying -The Cali brohas and northern preps who don't know anything about football would make louder noise while we were on defense. Always annoying

I forgot about the worst part...THE STATS on the board. Apparently we had over 400 yrds of offense after the 1st quarter. They showed bogus stats twice. What happened here?

Crowd noise, while up-lifting, makes it harder for the QB to communicate plays in the huddle and difficult to audible to something else. All very good for the defense. When you're on offense it does the same thing, to your team. So while people should be cheering on both sides of the ball, the loudest they should be is when they are on defense.

It was very strange that folks in the stands were flapping their arms trying to get the crowd noise up while we were on OFFENSE. It made me think that the cheerleaders needed one of those signs that says "Quiet - Offense at Work".
I also wanted to smack the back of the heads of the 3 sorority-types sitting in front of us who thought it was social hour. Hey idiots, not sure if you notice, but this is a football game. If you just want to talk about your feelings, go to a wine bar.

think I've mentioned it before. A home game for the Colts is something to behold. Crazy loud on defense. When the Colts have the ball, all of the video boards flash a "QUIET PLEASE...OFFENSE AT WORK" sign...and the place is Augusta-in-March quiet. The ball is snapped, play is made, loudness ensues...right up until the ball is set by the umpire, then silence again. It's something else.

Yes - the noise when they are on defense is especially amazing since they have been caught piping crowd noise into the stadium...

Why don't they just get rid of the music & let the bands play as in the past. I think it's fair to say that the 'music' doesn't bring ANYBODY to the games but probably chase them away with all that crap.
BRING BACK THE GLORY DAYS OF SMU FOOTBALL!!!
For some strange reason, one of the few universities that REFUSE to use their school colors: Harvard Crimson & Yale Blue.

we could use some of that ourselves. I think #18 has a lot more to do with the outcomes up there than the sound guy
