Beast. 230 pounds and can really move. There were some TCU defenders who were getting very tired of seeing 48 with the rock.

when Zach gets rolling, you don't see a lot of secondary guys coming at him very aggressively, do you? He's a good fit for this offense. Brings great balance to what we can do.

I just can't believe the difference in this kid from last season to this one. Last year he was a 2-3 yard a carry, goal-line punch-in, bruiser at best. This season he is flat out running guys over and has gotten faster. Just goes to show you what can happen when kids buy into JJ's plan for them, and put in the work necessary to get them competing at a higher level.

You can count me in as a Zach line fan! He should go back and watch tape on Mike Alstott a Chicago kid who played fpr years at Tampa. With that said, I was equally impressed with butler's run on that draw play in the fourth quarter. I like the idea of mixing in a little butler too he looked like more of a slasher!

True, but why are we risking injury to our starting RB on special teams?

Zach is the breakout star of the offense this year.
No doubt about it.

not enough depth. JJ mentions that in his post-game comments. see around the 7:10 mark.

I was worried this season with the loss of McNeal that the backfield would be a disaster. I figured Line was a poor mans Alstott. I now think Zach is a badass and I love it when he gets the ball.

same here, except that I thought Zach would just 'hold down the fort' for a couple of games until the freshmen got up to speed. but, he is clearly the stud in the backfield.

Probably set the special teams prior to the first game, before ZL "broke out" and it was still gonna be RB by committee

not that I know anything, but JJ said in that post-game interview that starters were specifically placed into the kicking and field goal plays in "this game" because of lack of depth. I took that to imply that we needed the better athletes on the field to counter tcu's quality. just how I heard it.
