What do we do now since our "Super Bowl" is over?

Patterson and his staff did a nice job of issuing the talking points to the FW Robots because I heard that all week. I got into it with a couple of them when I finally decided that it wasn't worth it, and I no longer care what they think

Not only is it presumed arrogance on their part, it's also pretty stupid.

Let them believe what they want to believe. He has to scurry it up with minions so his team can keep its edge because they want to return to a BCS game. That's fine. That's part of the landscape of college football these days.

But TCU has earned that right because of their commitment.

But it wasn't too long ago when winning the WAC, CUSA or the MWC was a big deal for them too.

We are now getting it and in the early stages of putting this thing together.

We all understand where we're at as a program and where we need to go. Our "Super Bowl" is in late December in Memphis. The next step toward getting there is beating Rice next week.

So they can do their thing. We'll do ours.

Funny - exactly right. JJ said it in the press conference, our goal is the conference championship. They can delude ourselves that we focused only on this game, but this team knows it has a whole season to play.

Win C-USA, the "Super Bowl" doesn't change that.

Last night on ESPN, Patterson stated SMu has been preparing for this game since the spring and it was just another game for TCU. So I guess we put the pads up, call it a good season and the coaches hit the recruiting trail.

I say we let JJ and Patterson settle it all in the octogon.

beat Rice

I think we've done better against TCU than we have Rice in the 20 something years post death penalty
