don't mean to jinx us but we can have some fun to see which bowl pony fans would like to attend (other than the Championship Bowl)

Dec 18 New Orleans (We play Tulane there this year)
Dec 21 St Petersburg, Fl (19 hour road trip)
Dec 24 Hawaii (unlikely)
Dec 29 Washington DC (an hour from Annapolis, MD Navy game)
Dec 30 Dallas (just another home game)
Dec 31 Memphis (conference USA Championship)

man I really hope we win conference. I don't think either the DC bowl or the St Pete bowl would target a CUSA west team. I think the Dallas Bowl will have lower rung Big XII vs lower rung Big Ten (Kansas vs Northwestern or something like that)

Is anyone buying their season seats for the Armed Forces Bowl? I think they are due this week. Can't decide what to do.

So what are the chances of SMU going to the Hawaii Bowl again if bowl-eligible? Was that just a one-time thing or does Hawaii being bowl-eligible affect whether SMU would be invited again?

Hawaii wouldn't surprise IF we don't win CUSA

BTW that CUSA berth in Armed Forces Bowl at Ford Stadium is guaranteed this year. Unlike last year Army only goes if CUSA or MWC can't fill slot and army wins 6 games before the Navy game.

I think chances of SMU winding up in Hawaii Bowl are decent if Hawaii is opponent. I think there will also be pressure to play at Ford or in the Dallas Football Classic if that game opens up. Cotton Bowl Stadium has a lot of seats to fill. SMU could do it better than other CUSA teams and it is a New Years Day Bowl hopefully against the Big 10

it's nice to be talking about bowl options...........instead of whether we could be eligible.

Hawaii would be nice, but I think having a game that more fans are able to attend would be a better situation for the team this year.

Many fans (myself included) would definitely make the trip to Memphis for the Liberty Bowl, and it goes without saying that most every SMU fan would go to the Dallas Bowl or the Armed Forces Bowl.

New Years Eve on Beale Street is a blast. There is nothing like staying at the Peabody, going to the Liberty bowl, and ringing in the new year on Beale. Memphis is my vote for multiple reasons. (CUSA champs for starters)

I am still defrosting from going to the Maryland-Tenn Liberty Bowl in 1974. Coldest I have ever been @ bowl game. Made the SMU-Pitt Cotton Bowl experience feel like the Orange Bowl.

Dallas Football Classic=vs 6th place from the Big Ten. That won't be Michigan or Ohio State, so pick one of these:

Wisconsin 4-0
Michigan State 4-0
Northwestern 4-0
Indiana 3-0
Iowa 3-1
Penn State 3-1

or maybe the Gophers will improve upon their record so far...then if we wind up playing in the Dallas Football Classic, the General will get a nice Christmas present

in the interim...BEAT RICE
