Football authorities with the NCAA have come up with helpful suggestions for fans of teams that lose ballgames. They have four bits of advice that alleviate pain from loss. They are:
1. Criticize home stadium of winning team.
2. Find fault with the weight of the opposing coach.
3. Question the ranking of the team that won.
4. Compare the color of brick of your campus buildings with that of the winning team.

If this does not help, they suggest a fifth of Jack Daniels and maybe a snort or two.

and the same authorities I hear came out with the following after winning a game:

1. Criticize the marketing approach undertaken by the host team
2. Call the game the "worst game in two years" your team has played
3. Call the game the other team's superbowl
4. Stick around a few days post haste and [deleted] on the other team's message board
