I have never seen this poll before. Does it have any credibility? I am skeptical, because I do not think we are better than Tech and Navy, much less some of the other schools listed after us.

of course it doesn't, and even if it did it doesn't mean anything.

i know it's just a ranking by cbs writers and editors, but still interesting to see where we stand and how far we are from cracking the top 25. we still have a ways to go, but we're on our way.

Couldn't have said it any better. Great point - nor does any other worthless poll that thinks it can rank something without a playoff system. Just another reason baseball & basketball does it right with their playoffs. 02 is right in the sense that it shows we're gaining relevance in the eyes of sportswriters, coaches, & computers who think they can rank someone or something.

Interesting that they have UTEP right below us and Houston several slots above.
