Hurry Up Offense

Is anyone else nervous that we haven't actually run an successful hurry up this year? I thought at one point during the TCU game that it would have been a wise use of the clock to speed things up, but JJ insisted on KP coming to the sideline every play. Not for a second do I question JJ's coaching mind you, but so many of our games last year came down to the wire, it makes sense to me that we are going to have to run an effective hurry up at some point this year. I guess watching the LSU/Tennessee replay last night makes me even more paranoid.

While very 'clutch', i'm pretty sure we can't count on 3 play, 80 yard drives as our hurry up offensive strategy.

However, I'm sure this is something the team will improve as the year continues as Kyle and JJ have more of a chance to get in sync.

Yeah, the clock stopped for a first down and then we had a time out in that drive not to mention the 51 yard pass. Can't count on completing many of them during last minute drives. Im more concerned about our ability to get to the line of scrimmage and get a snap off quickly without eating up clock to get the call from the sideline. Wasn't necessary at Rice but will be against someone or several someones this year.

Its pretty tough to call a 'hurry up offense' when Kyle has to run to JJ after EVERY play.

Is June too cool for headphones and microphone to radio in plays?

Well, you can't radio in plays in college.

June says, and I have no way of confirming or disproving, he did the walk to the sideline with his QB bit in the pros as well. June isn't going to change this.
